History of VICS, Inc.

Veterans in Community Service (VICS) began over thirty years ago when two World War II veterans realized that programs and services provided to affluent communities were not being offered to poor neighborhoods. Their vision was to: “Provide programs and services to low income neighborhoods and communities at no cost to the residents.”

VICS began with a small community program. As time went on new programs were added serving seniors, youths, students, home owners, veterans, utility consumers, immigrants and apartment users and house renters.

VICS operated from offices in Whittier for many years. As business expanded the home office was relocated to an upscale and spacious building in the City of Santa Fe Springs.

VICS has kept pace with technology by training its employees using state-of-the-art equipment and applying advanced management applications. VICS’ employees are trained and are courteous and attentive to all of our clients needs.
